Athletes' Angels work alongside Venture Trust and run a scholarship for potential massage therapists who have not been able to study after leaving school due to social circumstances.
The scholarship includes:
- A place on the Scottish School of Massage Swedish Massage course,
- Full course fees,
- The course book
- Massage table for the duration of the course.
- Paid weekend work during the course and afterwards.
The winner of the scholarship is given priority places to work on Athletes' Angels events during the end of their training and just after qualification. At these events, they are paid half of the fees, so that £500 is put back into the scholarship for the following year. The rest of the scholarship is again made up by Athletes' Angels Ltd.
There is one scholarship per year.
The winner of the 2010 scholarship was granted in December 2009.
Your application will be held on file and you will be invited to an interview towards the end of the year. The winner announced in November 2010.
