Road races, wilderness events, all day, all night, in the city and in the wild, raising money for charity or breaking world records, wherever you are asking people to push themselves in physical challenges Athletes' Angels can be on hand to help participants reach their goals.
With over eleven years experience supplying support therapy staff to events and expeditions we have built invaluable expertise in how best to deploy physio and massage therapists' skills to provide maximum value to events.
The process starts with our operations team in the pre event planning stage. We work closely with event organisers to ascertain requirements, establishing areas of most need, evaluating courses and routes and determining required staffing levels and skills. We are always mindful of budgets and fully appreciate the existence of tight deadlines in the event planning stage.
Come the event, our therapy teams arrive fully briefed, with a co-ordinator if required and ready to get literally “hands on”. Whatever the challenge we’d encourage you to get in touch.

HERE IS WHAT OUR CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT US:
"Athletes' Angels have always been an integral part of WildFox Events and we have been working together for over 14 years. They are an essential part of every event we organise and hugely welcome by every participant. They always recruit first class teams who are highly professional, very enthusiastic, hardworking and willing to help. Basically, we would not consider running an event without them."
David Fox Pitt - Director, WildFox Events
(Maggie's Monster Bike & Hike; Oxfam Trailtrekker; Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge; Alliance Trust Cateran Yomp; Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon)
"Athletes’ Angels played a crucial role in helping me achieve my goal to cycle around the world. The physio who met up with me across Europe looked after my physical needs and conditioned my musculoskeletal system perfectly for such an enormous challenge. I highly recommend having Athletes' Angels to anyone undertaking this kind of endurance attempt – a healthy body is the key to completing such a physically demanding challenge."
Mark Beaumont, Adventurer
World cycle record breaker
"I would recommend Athletes' Angels without hesitation to anyone who is considering using them for their events. I have worked with them for 4 years and have always thought of them as magnificent in every way. In every event there are always going to be around 20 - 30% of participants who will only manage it if they have the right support, encouragement and treatment. For those people, Athletes' Angels are worth far more than I can explain in words.”
Sarah Perry - Tour de Force Director
(and Event Manager of Land's End/John o' Groats cycling challenges for Marie Curie and Moneyspinners)
"Every year in May we ask over 700 participants to push themselves to their physical limits by cycling 30 miles and walking 43 miles, all in 24 hours. For many of them, getting to the finish wouldn't be possible without the help of the excellent therapists provided by Athletes' Angels. There are physios to help participants overcome injuries and massage therapists to give them that extra boost which often enables them to reach their chosen finish - Bronze, Silver or Gold. We want to help as many people as possible to take part in Monster and raise as much money for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres as they can. Athletes' Angels, without doubt, helps us and them to do that."
Georgina Bushell - Fundraising Manager, Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres
(Maggie's Monster Bike & Hike)
"They were absolutely marvellous. Their fingers were worked to the bone; we were so busy they didn't really get any breaks. I really hope they want to help Kidney Research again and we haven't frightened them off! I look forward to working with you again at future events."
Kidney Research UK
(Great North Run)
"The service the Angels provided was excellent. The co-ordinator was very organised in getting the team together and was up for staying on and doing a bit more to make sure the last competitors into camp received a massage which was fantastic."
Emma Ryan, UK Events Co-ordinator, Across The Divide
(Oxfam Trailtrekker Ireland; Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race)
"Stephen was a crucial part of the team. A very solid character, dependable and clearly an excellent physio. He gained the trust of the runners very early on with his professionalism and manner. From my point of view as a leader, he was an ideal team-mate. I could feel confident leaving him in control on the road while I was dealing with other things. He dealt with some unfortunate events very calmly and his broader medical knowledge was extremely useful. I would recommend him to any expedition that requires a dedicated physiotherapist."
Andrew Strachan, Event Director, The Home Expedition
(World record breaking challenge - 4 runners, 5 months on the Silk Route.)
“Athletes’ Angels are Britain’s top provider of medical and therapy support to endurance events throughout the UK”
Massage Therapy Magazine
"Scottish Massage Schools have worked with Athletes’ Angels for several years now. Their training of their staff is of the highest standard, run by knowledgeable tutors with years of experience who really know what they are talking about."
Lorna Forrester, Director, Scottish Massage School
